Hollow

This timber came from an old gum on a working farm on the mid-north coast of New South Wales. Decades of weather hollowed it out, likely after a century or more of standing.

The hollow that once sheltered wildlife now holds the light.

No. 02

Two Fallen

Two trees, one piece. The branch fell from a diseased gum in Sydney. Its bark came away to reveal rippled grain no tool could replicate.

The base was cut from a tree lost in last year's bushfires, scorched on the outside but sound within. The cord is wrapped twice by hand in rope.
